Eric has served in the Air Force since 2005 and is hoping to retire at his 20 year mark!!! He has loved serving his country while also getting to see some amazing places all over the world. He has always enjoyed bikes and when he met Christina, bikes turned into a passion!!!
Christina is a Creator Artist and has worked in theatre since 2008. She has loved working extensively throughout this country creating beautiful intricate costumes. She has always taken her bike with her where ever she has lived and even use it as her sole transportation!
We met in a dive bar past midnight but did not begin dating right away. After a couple of months of hanging out at the bar, Eric singing Karaoke and playing pool together, Christina stopped waiting for Eric to ask her out… so she asked him. Thus began the start of our dating life. Fast forward five years (3 of which were long distance because Christina went to Grad School) WE GOT MARRIED!!!
The following summer is when we decided to take our first long-distance bike tour, ride the Katy across Missouri!!! We decided to give ourselves a week on the trail and return via Amtrak. We had our 12-year-old son with us and wanted to make sure we had plenty of padding time to finish the ride. We rode a total of 281 miles and took extra time to enjoy the sights and eat plenty of ice cream!!!
During that trip, we knew that we were hooked and were already planning another bike tour. We are now in the beginning of planning our cross-country trip, once Eric gets out of the military!!!
